How to reach Shimla by Train?

Can we travel to shimla by train? there are so many confusions everyone has about it, and the answer is Yes. we can travel to shimla by train, but there is no direct train available. we have to change the train from kalka station.

The journey to shimla by train is very much beautiful, as the train runs between Kalka - Shimla gives the best experience ever. If you are travelling from delhi, reach out to chandigarh railway station. There are so many trains available between Delhi - Chandigarh, from chandigarh you have to go kalka station which is approx 27 kms only from chandigarh railway station, which will take 35 - 40 mins to reach the station. The frequency of trains between Chandigarh - kalka is slightly less, below are some of the trains.


After you arrive at kalka railway station you have to board the train to shimla, which will looks like this ❤️. The Toy Train
There are four major trains running between Kalka - Shimla : 

The distance from kalka to shimla is 96 kms & it will take approx 5 hrs 30 min to finally reach the destination. I would suggest if you are travelling by train, board the very first train early in the morning, so you can save your time & enjoy well.
